The Mossman Community Centre provides services to the local community of the Douglas region for youth, families, people with disabilities and the disadvantaged. The Centre aims to provide a welcoming atmosphere for community members in need. The counselling service is private, confidential and provides ongoing support. A meeting room is available for hire and visiting services attend regularly. The Mossman Community Centre and the Youth Development Program are both funded by the Queensland Department of Communities and are staffed by both paid workers and volunteers. Volunteers are highly valued and always needed.
